- My trusty little notebook, which will have a daily entry for each card & any random scribbles/sketches I might be possessed to make throughout the day.  This lives in my backpack now.

- A mobile version of the player page, which the mods were good enough to set up for me so that I can access the prompts easily on my mobile.  When I'm ranting at you all here, I'm usually swiping wifi from the school or a cafe, as the internet doesn't live in my apartment, you see.  So staying on top of things with my mobile is important, n'est-ce pas?

- A bookmark on my mobile of the little .png image of the daily prompt from the SWG homepage.  I think this should work out best for accessing the numbers on the wee thing.

- A folder for image files of all my cards.  This will work well for times when I'm actually on the laptop online when the day's number is called.  The card images are filenamed according to the groups into which I placed them, so with the default Win picture viewer thing I can flip through them efficiently to see which prompts I have been visited with.  I decided I preferred this to a spreadsheet.

- 130-odd MP3s on the mobile which I whimsically/incisively selected while rummaging through my audio folder last night.  An eccentric assembly, anything from Rammstein to the Tolkien Ensemble to selections from the Prince of Egypt soundtrack.

- SANITY.  HAHAHA.  HAH.
  ....ehhh...
        --ha.

And in case the notebook runs away...I'm setting this down by date, card #, then [_my self-selected group/theme_] and [- the cards "and prompts"] for that group.

Ledger: 1 Mar.
I18

_Istari_
- Beasts "Hawk"
- Landscape "Hill"
- Textures "Splintery"
_Huan_
- 1st Lines "When shall we meet again in thunder, lightning, or in rain?" - Shakespeare, Macbeth
_eccentric_
- Alt. Viewpoints "The Tower of Cirith Ungol"-RotK

Commentary: I love the way the Istari prompts will work out.  They place me perfectly at the scene I wanted to have chronologically first.  Ideas brewing for Huan, but I do love that The Bard factors into my first day of this madness.

My prompts have set a scene in my head. I just need to think up a coherent storyline now. I wish I were as organised as you!

How many prompts did you get for today?

A goodly sum indeed!

I like all your mobile organizational ideas, and your ledger is a great idea, as well.

And um, I'm sorry, but I was under the impression that a distinct lack of sanity was a requirement for this endeavor. :p

The romantic tale of Aragorn's PTSD-laden proposal to Arwen, duh!

Yeah except that that's more like something you two would come out with? =D If there were any PTSD-laden proposals going on in my work, they'd probably be before the 2nd age and I can't even bloody image who would be proposing.

How about the not as romantic or PTSD-laden tale of the reduction of Melkor to pure, unadulterated will to power?

;-)

That's more up my alley. Which is a rather dreary and creepy alley which satirical rats occasionally rampage through.

I think I want a satirical rat - those sound like fun.

I have no idea what you're talking about. Dwim, do you have any idea what she's talking about?

Since I don't write much romance - no, not a clue!

Why, yes. Yes, of course!

Sadly, I did not choose any of the romance cards, nor did I pick up Song Lyrics, which I kind of regret because naturally, it's Florence and the Machine tonight.

It'll have to be you.

You and me both.

Guys, this essay is boring and I'm sick of it. And whinging about it is doing like zilch to improve the situation.

It's about the play The Colored Museum, which I mentioned recently. I really enjoyed the play, but the prof has an incredibly specific format he wants. Basically he wants exhaustive lists of details, which is hard for someone who prefers to analyze select details to death.

I do like the prof and his teaching style a lot, but I really disagree with this format...Ah well, 2/3rds done.

Due to the excellent prompt on the March 3019 card, I think that the Florence lyrics will have to be for Erkenbrand and Grimbold. I need to write more Rohan.

(Not Erkenbrand/Grimbold romance, unfortunately. Maybe on the next go-round...)

I'm not sure if anything will come out while listening to Rammstein (sorry to be the bearer of bad news), but some more aggressive selections are there in case violent and/or demented things need to happen. I do have some evil cards, after all.

Ah, but is everyone who claims sanity actually sane??

From: [identity profile] aliana1.livejournal.com
Ah, yes. Violent and demented. Excellent.

I might even argue that claiming sanity might be more of an indication of not being sane? A la Catch-22?

You're so organized....I just made a list of prompts for each number, and then each day I will just randomly put prompts together, hopefully ending up with less then 10 stories to be written. :P

...Maedhros and Fingon will probably die several times each before this is all over, due to my lack of planning.

My organization is arguably a virtue, although it hinges largely on the fact that I become upset if things aren't organized. (I loved sorting stuff as a little kid. Yeah. Sorting stuff.)

I think it is one...lol, not me. I make lists, but that's about the extent of my organization (...my mom would have loved you.)

;P It's true though! Them and many other people...I've killed Fingon, Maglor, Thranduil's wife, a random mortal, and somebody else already...

(Well, the downside during my childhood was that, if I didn't -feel- like sorting stuff, I'd just let it sit forever...so my room was either immaculately organized, or, more often, full of clutter.)

Wait, you've killed all of these people today?? Rock on.

Paper was tedious, but I finished it without any drama!
