My ..fashionably late .. Tree & Flower post

1. Voting is still open for about seven more hours to determine (barring more ties?) the overall winner of the first Tree & Flower awards of the Many Paths to Tread Tolkien fic archive.  I'm pleased that a story I nominated made it to this final round.  Vote here.

3. Thank you to those who nominated and cast votes for my work.  Finduileorn is always happy for recognition, while Saruman is predictably irritated by being made a spectacle of.

I kinda slept on this... but it would be a whole lot easier to jump in and vote if there were links to the stories handy. (or if I had a solid evening to peruse them by searching for each one.)

It would've been easier. It was their first time running this awards and I think the scope of the project came as a surprise when more works than anticipated were nominated. Hopefully it will be a little smoother next time around.

I found it easiest to just find the stories by googling the story name and author, as lotrgfic's search feature never seems to like me much.

Well, there's that I suppose too, but the main thing is that evidently I was being exploitist and manipulative by portraying him as having a companion animal. On the other hand, he's still laughing heartily at me for casting the vote that probably broke a tie and sent my Sauron story from first-place-tie into second. =D "This is why you'll never get anywhere in the world.."
