One WIP finished, Melkor only knows how many to go

I finished the final chapter of my shortish story, 'The Maia and Aulendili.' I'm rather pleased with the story overall.

Summary of last chapter: Saruman sees Celebrimbor, and possibly wishes he hadn't.

Curumo: Can you not.
Huin: Sry.
Curumo: I doubt it.
Huin: I drew you?
Curumo: That does not begin to make up for any of this.

Congratulations on finishing!
I like the expression on his face in the drawing.

Thank you! =)

I would like to point out to Curumo that he isn't the one being impaled on a spike. (Not that I can really complain about that, since I am also writing unpleasant things being done to Celebrimbor in one of my asymptotically-approaching-completion WIPs.)

Snarking at Maiar aside, I really like that story. After reading the last chapter, I went back and reread the whole thing to get a sense of the arc, and I think it works very well -- the "Curumo + member of Mahtan's family + Elvish technological invention" in each chapter ties it together neatly. I enjoyed the character interactions, and I like the idea of Curumo as involved with Mahtan's family -- that's not something I've seen in fic before.

Curumo wishes to thank you for your concern, and to convey that, since being forced to watch the descendants of your friend being tortured is evidently not ample cause for distress, perhaps you could bring some popcorn to the next interrogation session?

Poor Celebrimbor, he can't catch a break from any of us! There should be a Fandom Apologizes to Celebrimbor Day...

Thanks so much! I'm glad it worked as an arc. I was trying to keep the things you mentioned as constants throughout, so I'm pleased they were noticed.

I'm just saying, it's not as bad as being in Celebrimbor's place yourself. (Though I'm oddly touched that he cares.)

I know. :( I do apologize to Celebrimbor (and my other characters), frequently . . . but I wouldn't object to that. Though I think it's kinda Tolkien's fault for only mentioning him when horrible things were going on.

It is all relative, at that.

Now actually debating making Apologize to Celebrimbor Day a thing. Me and my whack ideas. I would mayhap apologize to Celebrimbor by having him discover a new phenomenon or method. I'm sure there are sundry ways in which one can apologize to Celebrimbor. =D

Hee, I like the idea. And I'm sure Celebrimbor would enjoy making a new discovery (if he weren't fictional, but we're already at the point of apologizing to fictional characters, so, y'know). I'm not sure what I'd write -- maybe something fluffy involving Huan. HERE HAVE A PUPPY, THAT WILL HELP.

AHHH. 8)

Maybe I should do "Sorry, Celebrimbor" Month instead of another June of Doom and Gloom (I don't think many people want to be doomy in June...).

Dark, yes - but very insightful.

Thanks, Wombat! Those are actually both two descriptors I do not at all mind applied to my work.
