Youtube distractions: Goofy GoT stuff plus LOTR Musical songs not on the album

Jason Momoa's Khal Drogo audition tape.  This is awesome if you're familiar with the thing he's doing.  That was an inspired notion.

The actors who play the Stark kids singing the opening theme.  Sort of.

I was looking at the Lord of the Rings Musical's wikipedia entry, as one does, and I noticed some songs on the synopsis that were not on the cast recording (boo).  Luckily, ne'er-do-wells who make covert use of their recording devices during the show have come to our rescue.



"Springle Ring"!  A rousing instrumental track.  I've raved numerous times about the involvement of an old favorite band of mine, Värttinä, with the soundtrack (along with A. R. Rahman and Christopher Nightengale).  This is so similar to some of Värttinä's early work that I am all nostalgic now.  Also, it portends another, less upbeat song that comes later. =)

"Lothlórien, reprise."  There can never be too much of this song.

"City of Kings."  Basically a Cormallen song, apparently.

O.o I thought I had already left a comment on this - apparently I must have hallucinated/dreamed that.

Anyways, yay for more LotR musical numbers! I love it (and Elven Oratory).

Wait, what's Elven Oratory?!

It's a collection of songs put out by Lind Erebros. The songs are titled things like "Fingolfin", "Elven Warsong", "Maglor's Cry", etc - I use it as background music for writing a lot (because I am love with it. Also, I don't get distracted trying to sing along most of the time, unlike Monsters and Men).

Nirnaeth Arnoediad is one of their songs.

I think you can stream them all online at the website (or you used to be able to)...I got mine in completely not illegal ways. :P

I typically find a way after one of my friends say I have to listen to something and it completely magically is suddenly in my possession to listen to. (Mainly because I'm bad at finding music to listen to).

(I used to do that, except now it wakes the cat up and she tries to pounce on me.)
