I don't really have many shows I watch, but this week has been a good one for me TV-wise.

Game of Thrones 03.02 'Dark Wings, Dark Words'
I was really kind of out of it when I watched this, but essentially I loved everything.  Highlights:
- The Joffrey/Margaery/crossbow thing (can we call them Marjoffbow?).  I love that the show goes where the book didn't, in a way that seems authentic.
- Sansa's scene with the Tyrell ladies.  OMG, her face.
- Thoros of Myr.  He amused me.  I know it's not canon that he was still a drunken sot at that point in time, but from some of the images we've seen I think they're actually going to -show- his conversion and that is just brilliant.
- Orell.  I guess he's kind of a character mashup of...I think it was Varamyr and Orell?  It's hard to keep all these bastards straight sometimes.  Whatever.  I like him.  The cinematography with the eagle thing was really effective.
- Jaime and Brienne.  I loved their adventures in A Storm of Swords, and the show realizes it all wonderfully.  <3  (Shallow aside: Mkay, personally I never gave Jaime a second look when he was all polished and knightly, but scruffy!Jaime?  Damn.)

Doctor Who 07.07 'The Rings of Akhaten'

So, as stated above the cut, I try to keep bashing minimal, but by the same token I have Strong Sentiments that now want out.
Because I'm so happy.
IT'S LIKE I HAVE THE SHOW I LOVED BACK AT LAST.  *spins*
I LOVED THIS EPISODE, I loved its themes and its music and its atmosphere and its profound-ass monologues and the Doctor (I have never really LIKED Eleven before now) and Clara.  There was so much that I perceived as missing when the Ponds were around, and now it seems to be coming back.  I mean, maybe I shouldn't get my hopes up, but I'd been gradually liking the episodes better this season; so, personally, I have what I consider reasonable hopes that Moffat seems to be going in a direction I prefer.
Everything just seemed so dry when the Ponds were around (oh god, pun not intended).   I could not engage with them or care about their outcomes much, except for their last episode.  Clara just, while I disliked Oswin, I really quite like Clara.  And her rapport with The Doctor is really entertaining and natural.  And Clara's fashion sense is admirable and (this is the meanest thing I will say about Amy, sorry) doesn't make my eyes bleed.

Adventure Time season 1
So I randomly discovered this show a week or two ago and I've just finished season one and I'm totally hooked.  It's the kind of thing where it's totally ridiculous and yet it makes uttermost sense on some level, and I'm attached to the characters even though superficially it doesn't look like the kind of thing where you really give a crap about the characters.  And it's hilarious.  From what I understand (but don't with spoilers, please, although I probably ran into a lot of the meaty ones on accident, being that I found the show on tumblr) it develops a deeper plot and it sounds as though the whole thing turns kind of tragicomical.  Which is the sort of thing I approve of.

Lol! You still watch more tv than I do (I watch nothing on a regular basis, though various people are pushing me to watch Star Trek).

So I have no idea what any of these really are, but Adventure Time sounds cool. :D

I find Adventure Time terribly amusing, although it has its infantile moments (I've put a couple clips of it up on my tumblr lately).

Most amusing things do (Ah. I will have to go hunting on tumblr. Even though I'm somewhat frightened of and/or pissed at it most of the time.)

I loved the Margaery scenes. Clever, clever Margaery. I'm not sure that comes over quite so clearly in the books, but she really does play Joffrey so expertly.

... also, I love how Cersei can see what Margaery is doing with Joffrey and tells him straight out - but she's not clever enough to manipulate him in the same way. Although I do think TV Cersei comes across as cleverer than Book Cersei.

Yeah, with Margaery they might be taking a few liberties; but I think it's implied enough in the books that she's clever and charismatic that her portrayal on the show isn't a big stretch.

I agree that TV!Cersei seems more clever. Frankly I like her TV persona quite a bit better!
