The wine grandma spilled and other colors

Thanks to bunn, I derived a deal of amusement from this color survey conducted by the xkcd dude.

My favorite part were the color names some people came up with in their wisdom and/or despair (tall but worthwhile graphic under the cut):





White if it had a wine spill on itself and let it dry for a few days and then tried to wash it but it just left that awful color that forever remains a reminder that grandma needs to be cut off after the third glass.

Day 3: Sanity lost, colors keep changing but they keep staying the same...keep seeing this green, this slightly different green, mocking me...studying me...this ms green...what do you want mr green.

I actually loved this and was sorry that I missed the actual poll (and I can spell fuchsia without looking it up). Of course, color is my bread and butter and with more than 1500 colors of beads in just one size/shape, not counting any other sizes, shapes, varieties, color is actually pretty important to us. Of course, it's never the exact color that the customer is looking for - LOL.

I also wish I'd known about the poll when it was open for participation. And I also can spell fuchsia without looking it up, always by using the time-honored method described there (fuck sia, except there's a h and not a k...)

What, you mean if a customer came in looking for "my dentist's office orange. I still remember his dandruff slowly wafting into my gaping jaw," you mean to tell me you don't have that color?! =D
