Ah!  Voici une chose que je peux regarder/écouter pour practiquer ma français?!  *wince*

"Fires in the Mirror." We watched about half of this in a class yesterday.  I found it quite riveting.  People should all watch this.  Anna Deavere Smith is an amazing actor.  She plays characters of sundry genders, races, and creeds here, all to excellent effect.  Woman's like a fricking chameleon.

I thought it was "que je peux voire", but I could be mistaken! It's been a loooooong time since I spoke any French.

There was a fantasy/action film a couple of years ago. Something with wolf or wolves ("Brotherhood of the Wolf"???). I don't know if it was a French or Canadian movie, but it was in French with English subtitles.

Yes I think "je puex voir" does work. From what I understand "voir" (see) is more passive than "regarder" (watch). I'm not sure which one is usually used for films, or whether both are acceptable..

Oh thanks, I'll need to look into that wolf thingummy!

Oh dear, I just found a version of this movie you mentioned (Le Pacte de Loups) in the original French, but with Finnish subtitles.
My inner Poser Linguist is dancing with glee.

I've seen it as a play, but I haven't seen the movie. Thanks for the rec!

Ooh you've seen it onstage? I'm curious, was there an ensemble cast, or just one person playing all the roles? I think it was originally written as a one-person act, but I could see doing it with an ensemble as well.

It was a college production--they did it as an ensemble, but it'd be interesting to see it as a one-woman show (as I believe it was originally written, too).
