Acquired tastes are fun (like Thai iced tea; that's now a special treat for when I need motivation, whereas I hated it first time I tried it...I digress).
I did just watch the 'Edge of Disaster' episodes or whatever they were called, the one where everybody is stuck in the Tardis, and the fleshing out of the characters there did encourage me. Onward!
