It is so pleasant to be out in this great room and creep around as I please!
I always lock the door when I creep by daylight. - Charlotte Perkins Gilman [I kept this one a rather long time, by my mercurial-journal-titling-and-subtitling practices.]

Time to break the hallucinogenic millipede out of the specimen jar. -part of a statement from my humor story "Will you not come down? We've got your pipeweed!" Evidently I've been on a Saruman kick.

..if I knew where this thing was hid, I should not be here, but long gone.. -snippet of Saruman's words to the Nazgûl in Unfinished Tales, referring of course to the One Ring, but really this could refer to a lot of things in life. Such as sanity...

And the stars shall not look down from their high thrones in the Heaven... -Poe, "Spirits of the Dead" [when trying to google the poem again with this line, rather to my horror, my journal was the first search result...apparently I parse this line differently than it's usually set down in writing..]

We're being picketed by agnostics! - Metalocalypse [at the atheist church]

It shall be suffigance. - Dogberry from Must Ado About Nothing.

Praise then darkness and creation unfinished. -LeGuin, The Left Hand of Darkness

'You may aide us. You may attempt to hinder us. You may pretend you can ignore us. However you choose, the world is changed.' - this is the kind of stuff I amuse myself with writing. The only reason I deleted it is because a colleague was kind enough to actually place it on my signature banner.

'Thinketh, it came of being ill at ease:
He hated that He cannot change His cold,
Nor cure its ache.'
-Browning, 'Caliban Upon Setebos'
