There were pretty interesting, from the two or three I got my hands on. I'm tempted to read all of them, now that they seem to be having something of a resurgence, but I just don't have the time.

Well, the way I speak about the books now is very anthropology-oriented, but I'm not sure I processed it that way at the time. I was more interested in talking animals undergoing dramatic situations. Of course, in terms of social sciences, conflict theory was probably something I always subscribed to without realizing it. ;D
