I gather that the artist goes by Alllor. I love their style (when one considers my aesthetic sensibilities as reflected in my own artsy shamblings, tihs probably makes sense, and yes my Russian Tolkien fandom fixation is apparently here for the long haul).

Left to right: Olórin, Aiwendil, Curumo. That particular Curumo is the one from The Black Book of Arda. I have possibly mentioned that he is a tragic lunatic genius double-dealer who is obsessed with that chalice (among other things). <3

ETA - also, have video footage of Christopher Tolkien. It never would have occurred to me to look for this, but I randomly happened upon it.

So apparently all that reading and writing I was eagerly looking forward to after finals has yet to happen.  Instead I've been sleeping a lot, watching the first season of Dr. Who (Christopher Eccleston is unbearably cute, I can't say I think the same of the dude everyone likes that came after him), and drawing wizards.

The Istari story I abandoned in March will be resumed sometime this week though.

Bloody hell. This fellow I'm acquainted with looks -exactly- like I picture Olórin to look, back in the Valinorean days that is. Skinny-ish, unkempt ginger-colored hair more or less chin or shoulder length, bit of a wee beard. And this was the picture that came into my head several years ago, before I knew this person. It's uncanny. Every time I see his FB pic I want to scream OMG OLÓRIN. I think that would be terribly creepy.
